Umbramatic's Nominations

I nominated the new version, but either incarnation of this fic is fantastic. it has fun Pokemon interactions, fun Pokemon and human interactions, and fun characters overall.

What can I say, it's cute. And somewhat horrifying.

This one is just a oneshot yeah. But it features an obscure ship and fun character interactions, so it's worth a nomination to me.

Oh god. This fic. THIS FIC. The plot is a wonderful mess that gives me so many delicious feels. Keep it up Chibi.

This fic has a super-uniqe PMD setting and it had me really interested the whole way. Also being Owen is suffering.

There's some really good worldbuilding here that gives a nice epic fantasy feel.

Ditto here.

The traditional Pokemon canon is the one that gets expanded here, and in a fascinating manner

This setting expands on existing PMD canon instead of inventing its own wholesale, and the approach taken is really cool. There's a great balance of canon and fanon stuff that is fun to see unfold.

These two are hillarious, with Shane's cocky dynamic going well with Tessa's timid nature. There's some great development there as well.

As with Shane and Tessa, the contrast and development between these two is fantastic.

Hoo boy. I like the pacing of this one, with the ever so slow reveals that something is horribly, horribly wrong.

This fic's sense of humor just speaks to me. Like a lot. I think it might be Shane being just the right kind of jerkass

Ah yes, a classic, and one that is still going… and going… and going… you gotta admire the dedication

This is a very close second for its short but sweet nature, fun characters, and ties to another great PMD fic

There were a lot of good PMD fics this year, I gotta give props to this one for its epic plot, memorable characters, and an interesting setting.

I love any fic that can balance both human and Pokemon presence, and this fic does it beautifully with great characters.

This is another good contender, what with its excellent portrayal of Guzma and Lusamine and its related portrayal of messed up abusive relationships

I am one of those people who actually wants that juicy canon character content in a Pokemon fanfic, and this fic delivers. In particular the dynamic between Grimsley and Nanu is just -chef's kiss meme-

I really don't know what to say except he's just so… Grimsley and it's great

she's great, she's complex, she's a little messed up, and i want to give her a hug

This poor boy suffers so much, and just wants to save his teammates and trainers from danger. It's almost Courage The Cowardly Dog-esqe

Such a sweet, innocent(??????????) boy. He also needs hugs.

Chibi again just keeps going and going and going… and they've improved so much.

Horror and buff guys and Scolipide and writing so good you can hardly tell Canisaries is new here.

Angst. Lots of angst. Namo already feels right at home.

She just finished a sixteen-year long effort to finish her silly chapterfic she started at age 12. I think that merits a nomination.

Chibi is a prolific reviewer, and is always there with helpful, cheery, positive advice.

Negrek is pretty busy a lot of the time, but you can always count on them to set aside time for a nice, meaty, helpful review, and to me that's dedication.
